Brayer Patch Ranch

Smokey is a rather small, adorable jack. He is the son of one of our favorite and feisiest  jennets, Tidbit. He has a lot of her self-reliant spirit and he is just plain cute as the dickens. He is not as proper as Rover (above) but he makes up for a lot with his personality. Like his momma he is a grey dun but he has a large helping of sorrel in him. His sire was BBP Chili Pepper, a full sorrel and Tidbit was sired by Red Sundance.

Ronimo is anoher fun jack. He has a great bray. I starts out with a long high pitched hee followed up with many staccato haws! It just sounds like it must be really satisfing for him. Ronimo will be five years old his fall (2011). He is a beautiful spoted ass. We have been hesitant to breed him as he is a bit cow-hocked. However, the temptation to do so has been strong due to his excellent personality, fine disposition and beautiful coat. Gelding is a valid option for his future owner.

Lady is definately our best brood jennet. She is an attentive mother and she has delivered a living foal every time we have bred her. She can be pasture or hand bred. She is the dominant jennet of the herd. She tends to have long term relationships with her daughters. She is a bit over 11 years old and should be able to produce many more beautiful foals. She delivered a little jack on 02-13-2012 so she will be available only with the babay until August 2012, so make us an offer for both today!

Tidbit is a one-of-a-kind donkey! She has a fabulous self-assured personality. We bought her with her best buddy Lizzie (see above). Like her buddy, Tidbit has put on quite a few extra pounds. She is also eight years old.

Starlet at 13 years old is our eldest donkey. She is a very good mother, but not as doting as Lady. She looks very similar to Lady but has a longer head. She throws some beautiful foals.

Pinky is big girl. She is right at 36" after her feet are trimed. We bred her once and she gave us our excellent herd sire, BBP Red Rover. She was a very good mother and is in general an excellent donkey. She does well on the halter. She too has been getting pudgy lately. She is seven years old and should produce someone a lot of beautiful foals.

Gingersnap is the daughter of Lady in Red and she is beautiful. She has Lady's smaller head and a great red coat. She is four years old and has never been exposed to a jack, but we beleive that she should take after her mother and be an easy breeder and throw wonderful foals.

As a half sister to Gingersnap, it is sometimes difficult to tell which one is Pumpkin Pie. We ususally look at their heads as Pumkin's is a bit larger. Like her sister Pumkin is four years old and never been with a jack. As Starlet's daughter she should do well as a mother.

Dollop is the baby of our little herd. She is adorable, red with light points and cute white star on her forehead. She has a great high-pitched bray that sometimes sounds almost like a chimp! She is outgoing and spoiled rotten. Another beautiful daughter of Lady in Red, she is the last foal of Red Sundance. She is still fairly small but should make a good mother.

Rena Faye is a pretty litle molly mule. Her dam was a pony of some type and her sire was a standard donkey. She is a beautiful pure red mule. She is small and high spirted. we think that she would look great pulling a small cart but we know nothing about training an equine to pull a cart.
